The Institute for Addiction Study, the makers of the films Pleasure Unwoven and Memo to Self, were at this year’s Rally for Recovery and interviewed USARA’s Executive Director, Mary Jo McMillen.
Just like the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” it is also true that it takes support to conquer addiction. People across the country are making their mark, take Mary Jo McMillen for example. Mary Jo is a woman with over 32 years of long-term recovery. Is addiction recoverable? Yes, it happens every day.
