And of course, if you can’t make it in person, please do not be deterred! We are currently accepting donations, and will be accepting donations until after March 30, when the campaign ends.
All services offered at USARA, including groups and activities, are provided at no cost. We know that for many, financial barriers can be the most significant blockage standing in the way of addiction recovery. Providing services at no cost to our peers give each individual the empowerment and dignity to be apart of a growing recovery community. Each peer at USARA has the option of multiple pathway support groups and fun sober activities that they can join.
Opioid overdose deaths in Utah remain at an unprecedented high. Additionally, Methamphetamine usage is increasing at an alarming rate, alcohol related illnesses, deaths, and injury are on the rise, and the age of use continues to creep lower and lower. And the most forgotten victims of this crisis are the children directly impacted by a parent or family trapped in the cycle of the chronic disease of addiction.
USARA provides hope to families and their children by empowering them in their own personal recovery, as they define it. We believe that for families, recovery is most possible when each member is involved in process of healing and unity. USARA offers specific support to family members though volunteers and our Peer Support Coaching services. USARA also hosts a range of fun-family oriented activities for all ages. This gives the family an opportunity to build a community with individuals who inspire and uplift. It also props each child up as a valuable asset to the family and the community.
Utah’s Recovery Community is needed now more than ever! We are all victims to this devastation, yet we can all unite and overcome this together! So many of you are already involved and have dedicated yourself tirelessly to this cause. We thank you. Your support gives everyone a voice and a chance to find Recovery! All of this would not be possible without the dedication of countless volunteers, and the generous contributions from donors just like you.
Here at USARA, we believe and CELEBRATE that WE do RECOVER and that FAMILIES Recover TOGETHER. And most importantly…. OUR VOICES HAVE POWER!! DONATE TO USARA and be apart of bringing peer support driven recovery solutions to our COMMUNITY.
Addiction is a family disease. Recovery is a FAMILY SOLUTION.
