USARA’s Peer Recovery Leadership Training: Apply Today!

USARA is offering a Peer Recovery Leadership Training for individuals in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction, their family members, friends and allies. This training is aimed at removing barriers and opening natural pathways to addiction recovery while helping individuals to find purpose and meaning in recovery. It also aims to help individuals overcome addiction, and manage and stabilize long-term recovery so they can participate more fully in their lives and become recovery leaders in their communities.

TRAINING FEATURES:

  • Intro to USARA: We Can and Do Recover! Learn about USARA’s mission, peer-to-peer services and how we celebrate, advocate, support and educate on behalf of Utah’s Recovery Community.
  • National Recovery Movement: Not Anonymous! Throughout the nation, local communities of recovery are organizing and sharing ideas, resources and experiences in order to counter stigma, put a positive face on recovery and offer new creative solutions to addiction.
  • Utah’s Recovery Community: You’re Not Alone Learn about the purpose of recovery community, what Utah’s Recovery Community has to offer and where you fit in.
  • Message Training: Your Story Has Power! Learn how to talk about your recovery journey in a way that will empower you, our community and infuse hope in those still suffering from addiction.
  • Message Training Role Play: Prepare to share your story in a variety of settings, such as a job interview and daily conversations with family and friends.
  • Recovery Resources: How to Sustain Long-Term Recovery Discover the variety of resources available to help you sustain and maintain long-term recovery.
  • Recovery Management: Learn new and innovative ways to maintain your recovery and help others do the same.
  • Peer Support:  The Role of Service     Find purpose and meaning in your own struggles and learn how they can help others find hope and recovery.

Training Details:

  • Trainings run 1-2 hours
  • Trainings are held weekly at USARA.
  • We can also bring the training to your organization
