Admin/Operations Assistant (Full-time)

The Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA) is Utah’s statewide peer-run Recovery Community Organization (RCO). USARA’s mission is to connect and inspire communities to advocate for addiction recovery. Job description

USARA’s culture and support services are developed and implemented with a collaborative and participatory process considering all program participants, staff, volunteers, and partners have value and contribute to the organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.

Essential duties

  • Provide clerical support for Executive team; Executive Director, Financial Director, Operations Director and staff supervisors
  • Provide written and verbal correspondence, prepare and proof documents, etc. upon request by the Executive team
  • Ability to utilize MS Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge of employee payroll and human resources support with maintaining strict confidentiality pertaining to private employee information
  • Assist in maintaining HR files to ensure compliance with mandatory requirements. 
  • Supports staff recruiting efforts by coordinating interviews, conducts reference checks, prepares new employee orientation packets, employee onboarding, and offboarding. 
  • Maintain and support donor/contributions management tracking
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Some assistance required with participation in organization event planning, coordination, and communication of various organization events

Qualifications

  • Requires two years of administrative/operations assistance experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with peers and respond to requests
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of accounting practices

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors’s degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years direct related work experience.
