JOB TITLE:   PROGRAM MANAGER

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES DIRECTOR

USARA is Utah’s statewide peer-run Recovery Community Organization (RCO). USARA’s mission is to connect and inspire communities to advocate for addiction recovery. We envision a Utah where recovery community and connection are recognized as the most valuable assets for people to recover from addiction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees project management to build recovery support services in Ogden and surrounding cities
    • Build a networking strategy with stakeholders whose participants and/or community members can benefit from recovery support services
    • Establish relationships with already existing recovery community including court services, treatment centers, and recovery residence
    • Develop and implement a mutual aid recovery group schedule and recovery community center schedule
    • Implement policy and procedure
  • Facilitates individual and group supervision with peer recovery coaches to ensure ethical guidelines are followed
    • Ensure all employees are trained in the peer recovery coach core competencies
    • Provide training as needed in motivational interviewing, self-determination and creating cultures of recovery
    • Boundary management

    • Ethical decision making
  • Works within a team to coordinate peer support caseload and data tracking
    • Supervise team leads through weekly group and individual meetings
    • Review calendars, timesheets, and time-management
  • Evaluates organizational culture and addresses concerns with the leadership team
    • Collaborate with Leadership Team to disseminate findings  
  • Responsible for overseeing program policy and procedures are followed and corrected as needed
  • Manages weekly staff meeting

  • Planning, organization and prioritization skills
  • Understand addiction recovery-oriented system of care
  • Adaptive and technical problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal sensitivity
  • Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of communication
  • A clear understanding of agency mission and values.
  • Ability to work and lead independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social services
  • Licenced SUDC or CSW
