Rock Stars of Recovery at the 2015 Utah Pride Parade

On Sunday, June 7th, USARA and Utah’s Recovery Community will walk in the Utah Pride Parade in celebration of #RecoveryPride.

Each year, USARA organizes Utah’s Recovery Community to participate in the Pride Parade in an effort to spread the message of recovery, and to reduce barriers and the stigma surrounding addiction that people in recovery face every day.  We strongly believe that every recovery voice counts and anyone related to the recovery community can be an advocate for change.  Together we can create a positive conversation around addiction and recovery throughout the state of Utah.

Event partcipation is open to Utah’s recovery community, which consists of people in recovery, family members, friends, allies, substance use disorder and mental health treatment organizations, health care clinics, government agencies and community advocates. It is everyone!

Our float theme for 2015 is ROCK STARS of RECOVERY. Be prepared to dress up as your favorite rock star or you can invent a character on the fly. Please note, costumes are not required if you prefer to come as you are.
