4th Annual SouthWest Recovery Day in St. George

Southwest Behavioral Health Center is pleased to announce their 5K run/walk and 4th annual Southwest Utah Recovery Day celebration.  This event is an opportunity for people in Recovery, family members, providers and local citizens to get together to acknowledge and celebrate all that individuals, families, volunteers, providers and others do to overcome the challenges of substance use disorders.  

 5k or 5 mile FUN Walk/run on Wed. Sept. 25th starts at 6 p.m.:

  • Pre-registration on-line at www.southwestcenter.com
  • Run starts and ends at the Dixie Center.
  • Free t-shirts to first 50 registrants and check-in starts at 5:45pm.

The Recovery Day celebration will include providers and other agencies with information about overcoming the challenges of substance use disorders.  The event will include activities that will be of interest of fun for people of all ages.  There will be music, food, games, and prizes, as well as speakers telling stories of their Recovery.  There will also be free information about Recovery and the local resources that are available.
BOOTH REGISTRATION: 
If you would like to participate with us or would like more information, please let us know by AUgust 15th, 2013.  We’re inviting service providers to join us at this event.  There will be space available for you to set up a table and/or awning (that you provide) where you can talk with participants about Recovery and share literature about the services you offer.  There will be a nominal charge of $25 for each space.  As part of our agreement with St. George City, there are no golf cars or motorized vehicles allowed on the grounds and we’re not allowed to sell any products or services, but you are welcome to give out brochures and other information to be contacted at a later time!
