2017 Recovery Ambassadors

The Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health & Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness
are looking for RECOVERY AMBASSADORS to participate in:

October 23 -26, 2017
Punta Gorda, Florida

Eligibility requirements for Utah Recovery Delegate:

• Be a Utah resident.
• Be over 21 years of age.
• Identify as being in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction for over 2 years.
• Be interested in advocacy to increase public awareness about recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
• Submit a written story highlighting your experience in recovery (1000 words or less).
• Provide two (2) letters of support from a Substance Use Treatment provider or community based agency where you have worked and/or volunteered.
• Consent to share your story, be photographed, and do interviews with news media.

Selected Delegates will receive:

• One round trip air fare to Punta Gorda, Florida
• Paid hotel accommodations and an incidentals per-diem.
• Recognition at the National Recovery Day event on September 9, 2017.
